TrueCrypt - Free Open Source Disk Encryption Software

With USB devices becoming more popular and also easy to misplace, the consideration for encrypting your data becomes an important consideration. TrueCrypt is a fantastically free software application that can encrypt not only USB flash drives, but also hard drives on Macs, PCs and Linux computers.
One word of caution: the only way to access your encrypted data is via password entry that you create, so be sure you use a password that you will remember. Otherwise consider any encrypted data gone!
